Actor Training Program
Students interested in acting will begin camp auditioning for all of the camp productions. The first evening they will share a prepared monologue and the following day they will attend callbacks for all of the camp productions. Each actor will be cast in a role in a model UIL hour-long One-Act play overseen by a leading state director. After each cast is assembled the students will follow a structured timetable each day. Mornings are dedicated to classes in acting, dance, movement, and voice. Afternoons and evenings are then allocated for rehearsals and technical preparations, ensuring a seamless and polished production. This comprehensive approach not only refines their performance skills but also fosters an understanding of the collaborative nature of producing theatre. The result is an impressive showcase of their dedication and talent, demonstrating the culmination of their rigorous training and collective efforts at the end of camp.
